While still wrapped around a core of Rolling Stones hits, the recently expanded nine piece Unauthorized Rolling Stones is now a full blown theatrical show, paying reverence to some of the greatest acts in Rock history. From Zeppelin to Motown to Dylan, Rudy Colombini’s new iteration of what was once just a popular Bay Area tribute band has catapulted them into the upper echelon of highly pedigreed Rock Shows.
The lineup now includes all-star members and royal bloodlines from household-name acts, including Kevin Russell (Jersey Boys), Matty Pinder, (son of The Moody Blues’ Mike Pinder), Ronnie Smith, (Tommy Castro Band), and Sandy Griffith, (Celine Dion, Boz Skaggs, Kenny Loggins). Add the outstanding Scott Reams doubling on keys & sax, original URS member Kenny Crampton holding down an exquisite bass line, and the Jaggerettes engaging in frequent Battle of the Sexes moments with Colombini’s staggering Jagger persona, and the result is a quantum leap that has left other Stones tributes in the dust.
Tickets are now on sale for their October launch. See right hand column for show dates.
